Intolerant of artificial sweeteners (hyper-active)

DD1 was still a toddler when I figured out she is intolerant (if thats the right word) of artificial sweeteners. There was one P&T group which she would go mad out. I started wondering if it was the squash - I'll admit I got her to drink more as a test, and she was just running in circles (literally) looking really tired but not stopping, not at all like her. She hasn't had any since (now 9 yrs old) and no repeat of this behaviour. Her Aunt is the same.

My question is, is anyone able to advise on the "new" sugars? I avoid Aspartame and Phenylalanine, but lately I've come across Malitol, Stevia and Sucralose. Has anyone got any opinion on whether these are likely to be safe?

At the end of the day I can just have her try them - its not going to hurt her exactly. I'm just surprised I can't find better advice on google. Surely I'm not the only one in this situation?

Not got any information sorry. My DCousin's DD was exactly the same. I suppose it's better that she tries them at home rather than when she's with other people or it's a special day.
