Allergy clinics

10 yr old DD is anaphylactic to milk and has had an epipen prescribed for about 6 years now.

She has another health condition for which she has regular 2 monthly clinic appointments at a specialist hospital. Other than a yearly RAST test for milk as part of her annual review (for other health condition) we have never officially seen anyone for her allergy.

At her clinic last week the doctor recommended that we should get ourselves referred to the allergy clinic at our local hospital. Other than an occasional, often unexplained accidental slipup, we manage her allergy pretty well so wonder what we would gain from extra appointments?

Thoughts anyone?
