I was given eye drops last year for dd eyes as they often get agrevated due to the pollen during the summer. I only use to use them when she was desperate and was complaining of discomfort. Then i would only do pobably one drop for that day. I know it says four times a day ect. But is one drop when required the right way to use them. Also how should I put them in her eyes, last year it was a little hit and miss- had not been advised on how to do it at the time. Had to see the doctor for so much/allergy tests ect. Alot to take in. Any tips, she is 5 years old

My understanding is that you should use them regularly as they have a build-up effect and are less effective if you only use them as and when.

How you actually get them in is another matter. ds2 is 15 and I still struggle to 'hit the spot'.

Saggar's right, you should use them 4 times a day 3 weeks before the pollen season to help prevent the aggravation, one drop will not be very effective. Also there is now a little device you can buy over the counter for putting drops in, like a plastic shield, which holds the lids open and helps direct the drop.
