DS3 is nearly 12mths old, we have had a few evenings lately that he has screamed and screamed, then filled his nappy this then repeats untill he has filled 3 nappies when he finally settles down and goes to sleep. I'm usually at work when this happens but DH describes the poo as looking like curry sauce i.e. really not nice.
It had crossed my mind that it could be egg related as he had scrambled egg the other day and was very bad that night and I think possibly he could of had egg on other occasions too.
What do people think? Could egg cause something like this? He must be getting egg in other things but is it possible to be sensitive to something but only react to lots of it rather than a trace?
Think I will try keeping a food diary and see if I can find a pattern.

I know people with egg allergy can eat things cooked with egg ie cakes/biscuits but cannot eat eggy foods ie quiche, scrambled eggs.

My ds is allergic to eggs and has graduated from being allergic to all eggs to just eggy foods iyswim.

Best way to tell would be a food diary. Exclude egg for one to two weeks and then introduce an egg meal and see what happens. hth

Maybe get him tested? A friend's daughter had quite a severe allergy to eggs but has recently been retested (at 3) and is no longer allergic to them.

Out of interest, are your other two sons allergic to any food? Our DS2 has various food allergies and we are waiting to see if DS3 is.

Just saw this thread, particularly Dabihp's response. DS had scrambled egg yesterday lunch time. He's just over 9 months, but I thought he was OK with egg after I tried it a couple of times with other food. He has had diarrhoea since last night and he came out in a bright red hives-type rash on his tummy and chest which has subsided this morning. Could these symptoms have been cause by the egg does anyone think? If so, will he always be allergic to egg?
