My LO is 12 weeks old and has a milk allergy and reflux. We have been using gaviscon for 11 days. Was weary about using it as I've heard it makes babies constipated but my so. wanted us to try it before ranitidine. My poor baby has got colic like symptoms again and a lot of wind and struggling to poo. He's not completely constipated but are firmer.
We now have ranitidine thank god! Gave him his first dose yesterday but he is still have colic symptoms.
How long does it take for gaviscon to leave his systems? He was quite settled during the night before gaviscon!
