Peanut allergy - told 50% will develop tree nut allergy

saw a new consultant today who mentioned this to us. Doesn't really affect us as our peanut allergic child already had positive tests for tree nuts anyway. Thought I ought to warn other people.

In my son's case it was the other way round. first showed mild reaction to seseme seeds although we only realised it looking back, then one weekend was throwing up from eating seseme seeds, then had a nasty reaction to pecans, face swelled up and couldn't stop sneezing.

Then within a few weeks found he couldn't eat peanut butter which he had eaten with no problem before.
