DD allergic to orange, pineapple, tomato, paprika, peppers, parabens, grass and cats.

My daughter suffers with asthma and excema and seems to be seriously allergic to the above items. The food ones give her blisters excema and generally put her in pain all over and cats and hey fever give her swollen shut eyes severe nosebleeds and asthma.
Does amy one else have similar issues

Yes! My daughter was diagnosed with a variant of oral allergy syndrome by a NHS paedeatric allergy specialist.
She is allergic to all fruit except bananas, blueberries and apples, although can manage well cooked tomatoes.
She has hay fever and takes antihistimines in spring and summer.
We were told that a lot if people with oral allergy syndrome think they are allergic to pesticides or preservatives, but this is not the case.

Yes. My dd has sometimes had hives on skin contact with tomatoes and pineapple and gets terrible eczema with cut grass. She also gets an itchy mouth with raw tomatoes and melon. She has a severe peanut allergy too. It's much easier now she is older and can tell me what is happening instead of just screaming.

Waves at neolara! Apparently it's quite rare in children. We find it quite managable now my daughter is older too.

My daughter is 21 now, but i think there should be more information and help on any allergy. We were recently told by a very large holiday company that basically if it's not but it doesn't matter.
My daughter has so many food allergies since 7months old. At the age of 16 she developed a potato allergy, she cannot eat or smell potato. If you open a bag of crisps or get on a bus with your chips in a box and plastic carrier bag she has to leave the bus (or wharever enclosed space she is).
Her eyes go red,followed by skin reddening, lips and tongue swell and blister, she can't breathe, she can't hear ( it sounds like she is in a tunnel and her ears pop).
She can't for instance eat for example onion rings cooked in the same oil as chips.
Nuts and her other many allergies can be avoided but potato starch is so hard it is in everything.
As we were on a flight earlier this month we were assured the would honour it until we were mid air. We managed to avoid an epi pen by taking so many anti histamine that she slept for a good 24 hours but couldn't eat for 3 days.
My point with summer holidays parents please beware of airlines that say allergies aren't a problem, it was not the usual budget air lines either. Not sure if I can give names. Just make sure to carry epi pen and anti histamines in your hand luggage.
My daughter also uses a allergy mask (but get a good make) for air borne allergies it really does help.

No experience of this but sounds incredibly difficult on a day to day basis

my daughter has pretty severe dust mite and cat allergy,
my son has all the environmental allergies, dust mite, cat, dog, mold, tree pollen, hay fever. When he was young he was very, very allergic to dog. which had more impact than his food allergies. He has grown out of some food allergies, but is life long to others, but still has a growing list of fruit that gives oral allergy symptoms.
