Asthma and pet cat?!

Anyone have a pet cat and an asthma sufferer under same roof? A may have asthma, too young to diagnose but we are keeping an eye on it. She had a persistent cough and inhaler helped.

I know u can get hypoallergenic cats?

She suffers with Selective Mutism and I understand animals or pets can help with their anxiety massively.

I have a cat and asthma, my sisters partner is allergic to all sorts of animals but has four guinea pigs and has become immune to them, it's hard to know what triggers asthma, mine is damp, always had animals so might have built up a tolerance.

I've never had a problem with my cat and she sheds fur a lot!
