I'm trying to create a support network for people suffering with candida as there is so much distorted information out there and limited genuine support. If this sort of thing is of interest to you, it would be good to hear from you
I've been suffering for about 10 years and finally know what I'm doing thanks to a good doctor but it's so hard sometimes, I am close to buckling st times 😞

I've been reading about candida. I seem to have most of the symptoms. Can you tell me more about it? Is it just a change in diet that eases it?

Hi bringiton2016, diet change and some supplements. I FINALLY found some support so I think I know what I'm doing now and it seems to be working thank fully. I also found a lot of support on Instagram of all places! It's been a huge relief to make friends that can support each other. Has it been quite hard on you? Mine gave me loads of health problems all of which are now thankfully clearing up - at least that's how it seems anyway!!

Interested in this. I have been troubled with candida for the past year or so. Not diabetic. GP wasn't that interested. Currently in the process of overhauling my diet for other reasons so will be interested to see the effects.

@spotsondots how have you been getting on? Are you taking supplements?

Ok thanks, healing. I've had about one month symptom free. I've cut right down on refined sugar, dairy and am having less wheat/gluten too. I have another motivation besides the candida which is to try to improve my PCOS and have a baby so these changes are mainly to do with this. As you said in your original post, finding sensible info about managing candida is almost entirely impossible! I found one website that seemed to suggest I cut out so many foods there would be no left!!!

Supplement wise I wouldn't really know where to start! Any advice? What's good for candida? I'm taking a vitamin B complex and some calcium, zinc, magnesium, as well as omega 3, vit D and folic acid as we are TTC. These are aimed at the PCOS/TTC angle though. I did try a probiotic for a short while but had a flare at the time and wasn't convinced it made a difference. I only took it for about a month in total though.
