Asthma, cat allergy and flixotide for 2yr old

My 2yr old has been on flixotide for 6 months but I'm now realising her symptoms only occur when we have visited friends with cats.
Should I begin to cut down the flixotide?

Not without chatting it through with your GP/asthma nurse.

But do avoid the cats! I spent my childhood in and out of hospital and on high dose steroids due to having to live with cats. Miraculously improved once I moved out of home thanks mum!.
