My daughter on her year abroad has just called me saying she squirted shower gel in her mouth and swallowed some and had sore throat! What shall I advise? Is it something to worry about ? She is 21 for goodness sake . This usually hAppens to babies. Any advice please would be appreciated

Shower gel has a low toxicity. If ingested in large amounts it could cause foaming and there is a slight risk of it getting in the lungs whilst vomiting.
Your daughter will be fine unless she has a specific allergy to aningredientvehich I doubt as she wouldn't be using it in the first place!

Sounds like she is missing her mum and was a bit dramatic in contacting you, as can be expected when a long way from home.
