Airborne allergy testing

My son (9) has cough variant seasonal asthma for 3 weeks or so at this time of year. We have had general testing on the NHS but they haven't been able to discover specifically what he is allergic to. Any ideas as to where we can go to find out exactly what triggers this as we have had nearly a fortnight with little sleep, little school and no exercise. He is a gymnast and seriously fit so when we go to the asthma clinic (always seems to be other than this time of year) they hardly believe that there is any type of problem.
My thoughts are if we know our enemy we can take steps to avoid.
I'm going to post this in children's health too.
Any advice would be welcomed
Thanks

Not testing but using Blue Tansy Essential oil and high dose vitamin C has given us our nights back!
