Christmas Treats

Is anyone else finding this hard? DD has a dairy and soya allergy .. only recently found out .... are there any good on line ordering places for alternative goodies .. Christmas tree decorations, un chocolate coins etc etc. We are also veggie which doesn't help .. I am really struggling with this.

Last year I got DS2 an After Eight Father Christmas.. After Eights are dairy free.

mm probably not soya free though .. lots of dark chocolate has soya lecithin as an emulsifier .. however I have just discovered Tescos organic dark chocolate uses sunflower lecithin which is a start!

Yes that's true, sorry. My DS can tolerate soya these days, thank God!

Holland and Barrat and similar usually have something even if it's only those [boring] chocolate footballs and those [anaemic pseudo] Smartie-type things... and they often do something else at Easter and Christmas but you have to keep popping in as products go like wildfire..

And here although they never look very childfriendly!

sainsburys last year did some dairy free chocolate treats, dont know about this year.

there is also the veganstore.co.uk where I got some things last year also.

Have you tried independent health food shops? Mine is really helpful, and will order things in that I want - e.g. a childs gluten and dairy free Easter egg.

I've also just bought some lollies for ds for xmas - prob more suitable for younger children, which only contain egg (on the list for allergy advice). They're called Christmas Jelly Lollies, and were on a hanging strip near the advent calendars. Not sure they're veggie though as they contain beef gelatine
