Is there an on-line food directory/list of suitable products for coeliacs?

I've tried looking at various sites on-line but can't find a list of products anywhere -I know you can get a book with this info in but does anywhere do it on-line?

I'm trying to find out if Milky Ways are suitable for coeliacs? (I'm sorting out the dreaded party bags for DDs party and her best friend is coeliac ). It would be handy if there is somewhere on-line as I can check things when I'm planning meals for when she comes to play too.

TIA

I think there is one via the Coeliac Society but you have to stump up £25 to use it. Dh (who is coeliac) seems to think he can't have any Cadbuy products.

I feel strongly that the Coeliac Soc should offer this free.

Cadbury.

Thanks Fauve. £25!! I don't think so!

It looks like you can get a free hard copy/book directory if you join Coeliac UK but as thats something that will need to be amended as products change it will never be 100% accurate unless you up-date from their website every month.

Actually, you mentioning Cadbury's reminds me that I have definately seen her eating Cadbury's Buttons - maybe I should stick to those for her party bag

The directory is frustratingly hard to use, grrrr. What's needed is indeed a website, where you can type in product name, and get a yes or a no.

BettySpaghetti · 07/11/2006 20:20

Yes thats what I was hoping for -to type in "Milky Way" (or any make and type of food)and it says Yes or No.

I can't see why it doesn't exist free of charge on the internet. Surely it makes sense in this day and age when there are so many coeliacs for to be able to access this info accurately, quickly and easily.
