Milk allergy warning - read if you've bought Hotel Chocolat milk free, no dairy chocolate

I just wanted to let anyone with a milk allergy know that Hotel Chocolat have had to pull all of their "no dairy" milk chocolate products. The boxes clearly state milk free and no dairy though they have neglected to include a 'may contain traces of milk' warning anywhere on the packaging. Apparently no one thought that people who need to avoid milk might need to know that actually it may have milk in it.

They've pulled the products and have sent an email around to customers, its all very last minute though - I only got mine late this evening. Potentially very dangerous for anyone gifting these products on Easter Sunday, especially as several of the products were aimed at children.

Thanks for this. I'm CMPi and although I'm usually ok with may contain, it does sometimes cause me problems.

I hope everyone gets the message Smile

I do hope that there's no children without chocolate today because of this. How did it come to light?

Shared on facebook, I wonder if it would be worth asking Mumsnet to pin this for the day at the top of the active feeds?

Just bumping in case anyone has missed it.
