I excluded all dairy from my diet for two weeks then had a hot chocolate and some cheese yesterday. These resulted in reflux, a couple of explosive poos, and inconsolable crying with back arching tummy ache. Over the last two weeks I have noticed no reflux at all, no sick and much less poo which no longer exploded out of her. So where do we go from here? Do I need to do a whole day of it to be sure? Do I go to the GP about this or start with the health visitor?

You need to give it 8 weeks. It takes up to 4 weeks for the CMP to leave your system, then 4 weeks for it to be definitely out of her system. It is hard going no dairy but after awhile I got used to it, found other nice things I could eat.

It will be interesting when you start food in a month's time, see how some yogurt goes down, if there is a reaction then go to your GP and ask for a referral to an allergy paediatrician for skin prick test.

I find 2 weeks is how long it takes ds to get back yo normal after a trial.
Is your HV any good? Ds was already under Paeds so they referred to a dietician.

HV was good with other things. I think I will go along to her weigh in clinic tomorrow and see what she says.
