can you react to hand cream?

I was given a hand cream that has almond and brazil nut oil in it. My ds is allergic to nuts and his one and only reaction was through touch alone. If I used this hand cream could he react to it?

Personally, I wouldn't risk it

would cause a contact reaction for some allergic people. Certainly my son when younger used to react to contact like this.

If you haven't opened it you could always regift it to a local homeless charity
