Reflux, milk and soya intolerance 7month old

Hello,
I will try to keep this as short as possible!..
My 7 month old is breastfed. At around 7 weeks old his feeding went down hill and at 12 weeks old we were told it was reflux. I found the only way to feed him was layin on my bed when he was sleepy. We were referred to paeds who gave ranitidine at 6 months old. Dr said it was behavioural. It is not behavioural having seen him scream when I have a let down if I sit up feeding.
He only feeds this way now. He refuses a bottle. I cut out dairy but have now cut out soya milk too and although he is still up every 2-3hrs for feeds at night he is much more comfortable. He also gets so windy with any food eg sweet potato so we are weaning one new food/week to see what he can have.
I am new to the intolerance world as I thought he would have grown out of reflux by 6 months and be fine but I am sure it's a dairy and soya intolerance.
We are waiting to see a dietician. My HV is useless! But this could be 2 months yet.
I want to try a formula in a sippy cup. I can't ever leave my son because he won't take a bottle and I do have to go to work soon! I have no idea what formula to try! I have seen there is neocate and a few more but am finding it so confusing! At £30 a go I really don't want to try lots!
If anyone could give me some advice I would be so grateful. I really don't have anyone to talk to who knows what they are talking about! I feel like I'm making it up as I go and have no strategy to make things better. I also have a 2yr old daughter so need a good nights sleep soon!!!
Thanks so much

Rosie have you spoken to a BFC? She should be able to rule out things like tongue tie and help you to come up with a plan for returning to work. Your GP will be able to prescribe Neocate too Smile

I saw a BFC at 12weeks who said it was reflux. He has been checked for tongue tie.
My GP didn't really understand and was very dismissive he just referred me on to dietician.
Does anyone know of the different formulas and their pros/cons. Iv heard they contain MSG? Or that neocate doesn't taste very nice?
Thanks for your help!!

I'd speak to a BFC again, she'll be able to answer your questions. Have you got the Bfing Helpline Numbers? Smile
