Does anyone know how long you have to wait for a RAST test with BUPA? and how long for results? pulling my hair out!

No personal experience of BUPA. I'd expect you to be able to get a test very quickly but the results may take a couple of days, possibly even weekes. You can get results in minutes with skin prick tests, I expect you'll be offered those too.

In our case the RAST tests took about 10-14 days, no luck to get a private appointment for testing, at the end we went abroad for DS to have the tests.

Now, DS was refered for skin prick tests on the NHS after reacting to peanut and.... it only took 18 months for him to be seen!

I couldn't get any allergician, private or not, that had not been booked for the foreseable future. In general, most of their secretaries told me that it was highly unlikely for DS to be seen before he was 5 yrs old (he was 2 at the time). Now, if you are in/near London your chances are far higher.

If you can't find an allergician, try an immunologist. Your GP can order RAST tests at your cost (£8 per allergen tested) but most decide not to do it because they don't feel well prepared to act/advise on the results.
