My son has never had firm nappies and complains of tummy pains on a regular basis. Thinking he may have allergies. I'm not sure where to start. He also has shown no interest/awareness in potty training since being hospitalised with rota virus. Nappies are always looking like he has a tummy bug. Any ideas pls

Take him to a health visitor or a different doctor then.

The only way to determine an allergy is an allergy test and/or to cut out all food, except the very basics and introduce them back one by one. Mumsnet can't help you with either one of those, you need a medical professional. If your doctor is no good, go somewhere else.

The most common allergies in small children are cows milk, soy and eggs.

Are there any other symptoms? Eczema, bags under the eyes, poor weight gain etc?

Ask for testing for coeliac he meets the guidelines. Do not let them suggest elimination diets until this testing has been done.
