dd1 has been having allergy probs for the past year, she had RAST which showed her to be highly allegic but couldn't pinpoint what, she had skin prick tests in JUly again nothing showed up. We have done the diary again nothing obvious. We have pin pointed fir trees -eyes swollen(last xmas, but allergies started before we got the tree)she also reacted in the garden centre(face swollen , ivy-swollen face, home test by dd1 & friend in the playground her face swelled up after rubbing grass on it.

Her allergoes have been getting worse for the last couple of weeks again, the gp has doubled her meds until we see the hospital again(Nov) but she has had a bad reaction(eyes) todayand the only difference seems to have been she missed her meds last night when she slept at her Dads(she had the am ones when I picked her up) but surely this can't have let her defences down that quickly?

Any ideas??????????
TIA

Not much help but I know that leaf mould and fungi spores are very strong allergens. Yes I believe missing her anti-histamine medication would affect her that quickly as the protection only lasts for a specific number of hours and if she has the histamine reaction in her blood it will flare up again pretty quickly. Hope you get it sorted v. soon

could be anything really. any animals? feather pillows? she should have her own brand new allergen friendly bedding - often over looked at dads houses. moulds around window frames. lily plants. dust mite. its a wild guessing game i'm afraid. see what you can narrow down. x

skin pricked for animals and no reaction, we don't have any at home anyway.
Really don't want a repeat of last year when she was really wiped out by being ill all the time,
