Ds had allergic reaction to sweets?????

Twice now when ds has had morrisons jelly sweets he has come out in all blotches around his mouth and neck, today being the more severe causing his lips to swell and his tongue to become all itchy checked ingredients but cant see anything he is allergic to so just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Not sure of the ingredients there was beeswax or something black current flavouring beef and pork cassin????? citric acid and a few others that i cant remember he had them at friends house

could be the colourings. dd1 reacts to food colourings.

Its not cassin it was gelatine,there was caramel and carrot colouring.

Found ingredients
Glucose syrup
Sugar
Gelatine
Citric acid
Flovouring
Blackcurrent
vegatable oil
Glazing agents(beswax and carnauba wax)

In the other bag their was all of the above and:
Caramelised sugar syrup
E100, E160C, E141

Any ideas his face is still a mess

I'm allergic to Gelatine so it could well be that, though I get an upset stomach bloating and headaches so different symptoms. It could also be the sugar as the puffy sore face thing happens to my best friend when she has sugar. Might be worth asking your GP to refer him for allergy testing.

Been down the allergy testing route before as he is anaphylatic allergic to egg and fish but consultant doesn't want to do more tests seeing him again on 25th so we will see.
