If I am intolerant of mushrooms, is there anything else I should avoid?

I was wondering if I should avoid Quorn? Or if anything else was connected with it

Sorry.
Same thing, basically.

Is it all mushrooms? DH is highly allergic to shiitake mushrooms and no others. He can eat quorn, 'regular' mushrooms and yeast based stuff without a problem.

I've been wondering about soya (which I mainly consume as soy sauce)

& that means bread too

Quorn is a fungi derivative but not sure if you need to avoid it.

OttiliaVonBCup · 22/10/2014 20:10

Soya is OK.
The sauce is fermented, so that's a no.
Soda Bread is fine.
Anything leaven with baking powder instead of yeast.

MrsMinton · 22/10/2014 20:10

Sorry. I will rtft better next time. Yes to avoiding it!

Grin

He was saying sour dough or soda were the way to go (something about natural vs cultivated yeast)

not a happy bunny

Soda bread is ok.
Sour dough is wild yeast, so maybe not.

There is something called the Candida diet, which is anti fungal. You could look it up.
It's very restrictive though.
