Fexofenadine and Piriton together?

Can any one tell if it is okay to take these together please?
I have previously been prescribed Cetirizine and Piriton together after a bad reaction, but my GP has now switched me to Fexofenadine as the Cetrizine has been getting less effective. I am on one tablet a day, which I have split into two doses because I was waking up itching in the night.

I've not been too bad lately, apart from terribly itchy eyes and the odd rash, but yesterday had a reaction to Aldi's Bucks Fizz (classy!).... I'm sure it was that, label stated 'contains sulphates' which some, but not all, wines that contain sulphates give me a reaction.

I had my usual bright red blotchy rash on face, neck and chest which feels prickly and hot. i took my 'bedtime' dose earlier and that seemed to settle the rash for a while. Most of today I have had this rash and prickly feeling, I had stomach pains and wind during the night and all day I have pretty major itching on face, neck, shoulders, ears, eyes, scalp. And a sore throat.

So, I'd like to take another antihistamine, but not sure if Piriton would be okay or not? Or would it be better to take a higher dose of Fexofenadine..........I will obviously be going to the GP tomorrow, but itchiness is driving me mad!

TIA Thanks

Just in case anyone is wondering the outcome, the GP prescribed me a short course of steroids to get on top of the allergic symptoms which have been flaring up all day. And he checked that my referral to allergy clinic has been done!
