I've not used gluten free flour before. Is it just a straight swap with normal flour?

I want to make some gluten free carrot muffins at the weekend.

Do I simply use the same measurement of gluten free flour as normal flour? I think I heard it could be wetter, or was it drier, than regular cake mix batter?

Which flour have you got? I usually do a pretty much straight swap when using Doves Farm. Sometimes you need to add a little more liquid to something like a sponge, but carrot cake is pretty wet anyway

Doves Farm. Hopefully it'll turn out ok then.

I think the Doves farm flour I use says on the bag that you may need to add a little more liquid but I use the same weight as of normal flour

for sponges and pancakes it's more or less like using normal flour ime.
good luck

For carrot cake, I would do a straight swap.

....Update...

Thanks for the advice. I've made the cbeebies carrot + courgette muffins with doves farm plain and can report they are excellent Grin.
