DS is 9 and often complains of a sore tummy at nighttime. Specifically, lights out, which I have put down to delaying tactics and wanting to chat/get attention. I work FT so bed time is our time together. Interestingly when I was on holiday he didn't have a tummy ache at all.....

On the other hand his father is lactose intolerant.

I did point out DS there had been no tummy aches for a fortnight and he said there had been, he just hadn't mentioned it Hmm. He is a healthy chap and still on his normal centiles of 75% height and 50% weight.

How did you all work out whether your child was having trouble with a food and if so which one?

My DD is 10 and does the same thing OP. I've told her that she needs to make use of the time she has with me for chatting etc and once lights are out that's it.

I wouldn't imagine he was having tummy aches really...due to the timing.

thanks! I have tried that tactic but will just keep the faith with it...

Does she have a regular, normal poo? Our dd complains of tummy ache but it's always when she needs a poo!
