Calcium supplements fur a two year old

DS has CMPA & soy allergies. He is 2.3 and still breastfeeding once a day and I would like to stop soon.

Before I do, i would like to find a calcium supplement DS can have. Any recommendations? I know the Sandoz syrup is still not available so I'm stumped.

I give my two year old Tropicana orange juice with calcium. Plus she eats very well, lots of green veg, beans etc.

If he or she eats well, then

1 bowl of ready brek
1 glass of orange

Will cover all calcium. However, there's no way my DD would eat that much, so is on adical banana flavoured chewable tablets. She is v v fussy eater but thankfully likes them and we call them sweets

Thanks, for some reason I thought ready break wasn't ok for milk allergies but will check again.

Orange juice is out sadly due to his reflux. I will have a look at the chewable tablets again and hopefully there will be an option.

My kids have never eaten dairy or formula. I fed them foods naturally high in calcium, Tinned fish is great- salmon and sardines or pilchards it's the bones are a very high calcium source. The bones are very soft and when you mix them though the flesh they disintigrate. Fab for fishcakes.

Tofu is very high in calcium too- and can be used for pudddings, not just savoury. Figs are another great source.

Super, it does have a not suitable for milk allergy sign, but I remember googling it, and someone contacted them and its because the line next to it makes the chocolate version and that has milk. dD has a delayed reaction to milk so not serious, so I felt it was fine, and it didn't come up with any reaction either

Dd has the same allergies and is a bit younger, but we use 1 haliborange calcium/vit d tablet each day, plus 200mls of calcium enriched oatley as drink/cooking which is the RDA for a toddler. Anything else is a bonus!

We give a haliborange (get at boots or tesco) to our just 3yr old with cmpa/soya allergies every other day. The otherday he gets a multivitamin from the same range. This was recommended by our allergy dietician about 8-9 mo ago. DS drinks some fortified oat milk but won't reliably eat anything that is calcium rich. The 'sweets' are great as he thinks they are a treat and i use them as little rewards .

Our dietician recommended Osteocare, for my boys and also for me (because I am breastfeeding and following the same diet as them). It is horrendously expensive, and we aren't able to use it for that reason. I'll be checking out some of the suggestions above!

So many of the calcium and other supplements available are orange flavoured... I wish there was more variety. DS1 is okay with orange juice these days, but it gave him nasty eczema until he was about 3.

As ShineSmile has said, Ready Brek does have a 'not suitable for milk allergy' warning - but I did the same google search and decided to risk it. DS1 is highly allergic to milk (a few weeks ago he had masses of hives on his stomach after leaning over a stair gate that I thought had been wiped completely clean of spilled milk many hours before) but he has never had the slightest problem with Ready Brek, and his little brother loves it.

The haliborange one is strawberry flavoured, and is quite nice, according to my dh (felt the need to try one "just to see"!)
