Is spelt flour wheat free?

On a wheat free diet for DD, and wondering if spelt flour is wheat free? (If its not, I'm seriously Hmm)

It is a primitive form of grain related to wheat, many people digest it better, but it isn't gluten free if that is actually what you mean. If you want a gluten free flour then the Doves Farm ones are really good. Or you can use Buckwheat, which is gluten free.

Yes it is, but it isn't quite the same as bog standard modern wheat. It is the same family though.
