Coeliac and fertility

I've recently had a blood test that could indicate coelic disease and I'm waiting for an endosocpy. I've stupidly been googling it and have seen a few things about lowered fertility. We've been TTC for nearly a year and now I'm wondering if it's all connected.
Does anyone have any idea why there would be a link or any personal stories that could shed some light on this, good or bad?
Thanks

A few years ago my periods changed and my cycle started getting shorter - 21 day cycle down from 28 days. I went to the GP, had some bloods done and was diagnosed as being peri-menopausal at 29.

A few years later, when we were thinking of TTC I was diagnosed with coeliac disease and went GF. My cycle went back to 28 days within three months, hormones went back to normal and I fell pregnant Smile

My mother has coeliac disease (diagnosed as a child) and she has had several children with no problems whatsoever. Another family member has also been recently diagnosed and she has children too.

untreated coeliac is accepted as one cause of infertility, I think.
