Is this reflux?

My dd is 10 weeks old and ever since she was born she's been a sicky baby. She will take 5-6oz every 4 hours in the day, sleeps through at night but is sick after every feed when I wind her plus throughout the day. Not just a little it's usually between 2 - 6 tablespoons worth.

She doesn't seem uncomfortable with it and is fine lying flat etc but this seems more sick than normal?!?

Sounds like it could be my little one has reflux and the best thing to do is hold her up right for 30mins after a feed you can also prop her cot or what ever she's laying in after a feed and winding regularly during feeds helps x

All babies have some degree of reflux as their stomach muscle isn't yet mature enough.

2-6 teaspoons doesn't sound like a lot, and it may well be a posset rather than a vomit. I say this only as my DS projectile vomited every feed as a newborn!

Is she miserable with it? Does she cry or arch her back? If not I wouldn't worry too much, just wind her regularly and keep her upright for 20 minutes after every feed. Titling the mattress with some towels can help too.

They can just grow out of it, but if it's upsetting her and she's screaming and miserable or not putting on weight I'd take her to the GP.

If she is not unsettled by it, then don't worry.
