2 year old dd, night time hives

Last night and tonight dd has woken a few hours after going to sleep in terrible discomfort. Having a look she's got small clusters of hives on her feet, thighs and the odd one elsewhere.

We've not changed detergent, she's not had new foods so am confused. I've given her piriton and now holding her until it kicks in.

She has a cough/cold at the moment but that's it.

Can anyone give me any ideas? We have dairy intolerance and mild allergies in the family but I cannot work out why she only gets them at night.

Dust mites?

DS had the same recently. Thought it was dust Smile but then discovered it was part and parcel of the cough/cold virus that is doing the rounds. Dose of piriton will sort it until the virus subsides.

I don't think it is dust mites - they are appearing under her clothes which were clean on?

Maybe it is her cold - did you see the doc Lucy?
