Does anyone have any experience of lactose intolerance in their 40s, do lactaid tablets help?

Not in 40s but friend in 20s was diagnosed recently, she uses those tablets when she has to eat out at corporate events and cannot trust mass catering to bring her the right food. She seems fine using them in this way, but they will not work if you try to eat a whole pizza and tub of ice cream to yourself Grin

Ok thanks - that's very helpful

I had this and it was secondary to coeliac disease. It went once my gut healed.
