Dairy and soya free

Can you help where I can get chocolate and cheese from please

My son also had a dairy intolerance and, after 12 months on soy milk, also developed an intolerance to soy. We were able to easily locate dairy-free chocolate in most health-food stores, but cheese became more difficult as a lot of the dairy free cheese contains soy.

I would call a few local health-food stores and ask as to whether they have any suitable products. Good luck!

I get the 70% dark chocolate. Usually dairy free, haven't any packets to check for soya. Co op is my usual shop for it,
It can be too intense so my latest thing is making crispie cakes with raisins in to dilute it.

vegusto is soya & dairy free cheese. Tastes ok too

You can eat most dark chocolate. Check the labels. Moo free chocolate is ok as is the free from range in sainsburys. Soya lechtin is fine to have even if your allergic to soya!

I've yet to find a cheese that's edible

Montezuma's dark chocolate is dairy and soy free.

Finding soy free bread is surprisingly hard I've found, but there are a few about (I should bake my own but I have a terrible oven and am lazy).

As for cheese I'm of the opinion if it's not made from milk, it's not worth bothering with Poor DH is finding cheese fee pizza a bit hard to deal with, but with the right toppings it alright.

I took some convincing on the vegusto but I use the melts and the sauce and they smell cheesey and taste ok ( debate over whether they taste cheesy, dh reckons the taste like Swiss cheese, I think dairy lea)

My mum has a bread maker so makes my daughters bread. ;)

Pizza iv found a dairy free base so to make it fun she mades her own pizza ;) and has lots of fun

Asda do dairy free chocolate buttons but they have soya lechins as an emulsifier, think Morrison's do the same.

Soya lechins is ok for dairy and soya free diets! I know its sounds contradictory but my dietician assures me and dd who is highly dairy and soya allergic has no trouble with it!

DS has lots of trouble with soy lectithins. It is the bane of my life as they are in pretty much everything.

Dieticians often get it wrong unfortunately.

Dairy free or Cow milk free? Cheese and other dairy products from goat or sheep may be fine... If the reaction to cows dairy isn't too serious it might be worth trying them, most big supermarkets with have goat milk, butter and cheese and at least sheep cheese. Interestingly raw dairy products may not cause the same reaction as pasteurised/uht, but that depends very much on the individual and what they are reacting to.

Otoh, past infancy, nobody actually NEEDS any dairy foods at all... So I wouldn't stress about replacing it with fake alternatives. All the nutrients can be got from other things.

Go for Moo Free chocolate. Has the 'traces' warning for soya but no soya in the the ingredients.
