Protopic usage and sun exposure??

Hi all, I have severe atopic eczema but doing very well at the moment .As the weather is getting milder and brighter I was out walking for an hour with baby the other day.No heat just a bright day.That evening my eye was swollen and I had the withered eczema look about it plus a rash all over.Outdoors must have triggered this it is the only thing I can think off.Does protopic usage on face attract sun.Now I am not talking sunbathing here just being exposed out and about on a bright day in March.Sun is a no no for me but I thought I could walk my baby on a bright day:(( without a flare up:(( thanks in advance

This suggests that you should avoid sun but can't remember why as a while since I used protopic. I do remember the consultant telling me to avoid the sun!

Thanks for the link.I can never go out in sun but this was just a normal dry bright day so I am wondering I am now confined to this also.... Very annoying:(

Maybe try a wide brimmed hat so your face is shaded as much as possible? It was so effective and I only needed it for a short time, hopefully it will help get yours under control and you won't need to use it for too long.

Have they checked your iron levels post baby? Low iron turned out to be the cause of my flare up, 3 months of iron tablets and the protopic got everything back under control.

Tried the hat when abroad but even got a reaction to the hat resting on forehead.Sorry a typing error should have said the baby as opposed to my baby so def not iron levels! Glad to hear you are doing well, lucky you and thanks for answering
