The BBC linked the results of Addenbrookes STOP II study today, its a gamechanger, I can testify to that from personal experience:

BBC report:

and the clinical paper:

Totallyaimless - Did your dc participate in the trial? If so, can I ask a few questions. How often did your dc have to go in? How long do your dc have to stay in hospital each time? Did they manage to arrange appointments outside of school hours?

We live in Cambridge and my dd sees Dr Ewan for her peanut allergy. Last time we went to see her, we were told they anticipated that they would be rolling out treatment relatively soon and that by the time my 4 year old left primary school she would have been treated. I'm wondering about the logistics of it all.

EducatingNora - yes but I would rather talk off line if that is OK? I am out tonight but can email you with proper information if you are interested?

How do they treat those that have severe reactions to even small traces of peanut?
