I am not sure how many of you are using aveeno...but there is a shortage from the manufacturer. My children use 14 tubes a month between them...and I have come home with 3 today...with no more available till end Aug...so have been frantically trying to get more...my advice is if you need some for the rest of the month...go get it now before it runs out....and good luck!

Have you tried Ebay?

gscrym · 31/07/2006 17:22

There's some here aveeno

They seem to have it on offer.

I haven't been able to get the dispenser bottles of the lotion for weeks - Boots just don't seem to do them any more.

Do you want cream buying and sending marz or are you one of the lucky ones whose GP admits to it being prescribable?

QueenPeaHead · 31/07/2006 17:24

I have masses of it which dh brought back from the states.
If you are having a complete crisis cat me and I'll send you a big bottle (they do bigger sizes in the US)

misdee · 31/07/2006 17:25

thanks. will go get dd1 perscription changed ASAP then. she started using aveeno last week, already used the small tube we got on perscription, and her skin is looking so much better.

marz · 31/07/2006 20:40

Thanks..for the offers...I do get it on prescription...because my previous GP was absolutely great. This GP has not been great....and have reluctantly (I think) just continued prescribing.
I tried the lotion awhile ago and do not feel it was as good...even the aveeno cream some days I put it on dd2 and by the time I have finished the feet....her tummy and hands are completely dry!
I have managed to find two branches of Boots who are holding their stocks for me so I can pick them up tomorrow...but I don't know how we would afford it if I had to pay...although I will resort to it if necessary! I think we will be fine till end of August now, as long as the Boots have really kept their stocks for me, but I am just quite scared at the thought of their being a longer delay than end Aug...
anyway...thank goodness for cooler weather....might reduce the eczema now...I hope!!

marz, why not try your local chemists instead of boots. They may be more likely to be able to try different sources for ordering it.

marz · 01/08/2006 09:00

It was my local chemist that gave me my last 3....and no-one generally seems to stock more than about 5 tubes normally, I have always had to have them "owe" me with the prescription. It is rather annoying as I always order every month and yet they just will not put them in stock. Oh well...who am I to tell them how to stock their shelves!!!

oh, that's a pity. I used to get my local chemists to order it in regularly for me, so it would be in stock regularly. I was under strict orders to let him know in advance when I wouldn't need it as much, so he didn't end up with too much extra.
