DD1 has CMPI - will DC2?

I am due with DC2 in a few weeks.

DD had quite bad intolerances to dairy and soya (and others which she grew out of) which she still has at 2.5yo.

I am still breastfeeding her so am still dairy and soya free and planning on trying to breastfeeding DC2. However I couldn't express with DD and would like to introduce a bottle this time at some point.

Does anybody know what is the chance that DC2 will also have CMPI? How would you go about introducing formula? I won't be able to get neocate prescribed without a diagnosis presumably, which was a battle in itself last time.

It's more likely with a family history but that doesn't mean it will happen. My DC1 has an egg allergy that he hasn't outgrown at age 6. My DC2 had a CMPI allergy up until 14 months (fine with soya) and is now allergy free. Neither mine or DH's family have any allergies at all.

Just see what happens and take it from there. You've had experience of how the system works so you'll be far better placed to navigate it should you need to. Good luck Thanks .
