My son had few allergic reactions and I am now looking for private specialist to test him. I have done some research and narrowed the search to few specialist (that work in hospitals covered by my insurance)
Professor Gideon Lack
Dr George Du Toit
Dr Adam Fox
Dr Helen Cox
Professor Sebastian Lennox Johnston
I would really appreciate any feedback and recommendations.
Thank you!

i also had pressure to give up breastfeeding - from a different doctor on the list - in hindsight, i can see why; it's very difficult for a multiple allergy child to get properly better if mum is still eating a variety of food (and most mums find it difficult to cut out all the allergy food when they first start as they often don't realise how far it spreads). Having said that, I didn't give up breastfeeding, but it did take a long time to get the allergies under control.
I'd highly recommend Dr Fox, based solely on training i did with him, would also recommend Dr Cox.

Dr Michael Perkin is also excellent

Sorry just realised my previous post was a bit ranty. Clearly still bothers me!

I agree it's very hard to BF an allergic baby. I think HCP should discuss the difficulties and options rather than berate stressed out mums. My biggest bug bear is HCP giving out inaccurate information, esp if there's a conflict of interests.

We must have seen the same nutritionist green as I was given the same crap advice.

I'm an HCP and worked in oncology at the time. My knowledge was far more up to date on many levels. She should have paid me really Grin

We're under the care of GOSH and Dr Adam Fox at Guys as NHS patients. Don't live in London- we were referred in from local hospital. We have seen Dr Fox and he seems good. I had already finished BF my son by the time we finally got to see him so was never an issue for us. The allergy team at Guys are lovely
