Lactose intolerance stool sample

Come back from docs with all the kit to take a stool sample so dd can be tested for lactose intolerance, but just realised I got no advice about how fresh the sample needs to be. I think I remember Hv a while ago saying it needs to be at the lab within 2hrs? Is this right or doesn't it really matter?

No idea on that one sorry, might be worth phoning the GP and asking Xmas Smile

Yes it needs to be super fresh Grin Sorry.
We sent one for DS - it tests for 'reducing substances' IIRC and it needs testing right away for an accurate result.

I guess they don't do it at the surgery so what do they do? Like a blood run taxi? Lol
