A few weeks ago my son had a mild reaction to a cashew nut. He had a blood test done and the result was positive. Doc app is not for another 3 weeks. What happens now? Obviously avoiding everything nut related.

Also does this mean he will be allergic to peanuts? Was reading up about it and seen they are different from tree nuts.

Yes peanuts are lugemes so not related to treenuts, but everyone is different and some people are allergic to both. He many not necessarily be allergic to other treenuts either. My ds is allergic to most treenuts, but not cashew. Also ds was allergic to peanuts but grew out of that by the age of 12. He is still allergic to other treenuts and sesame seeds. DH is only allergic to Brazil nuts.
