My daughter was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease when she was 2 yrs old, and confirmed by endoscopy (we were lucky the doctor who saw her was friends with an expert and referred her straight away). Because of this when she started school care plans were put in place to protect her, and her infant school were brilliant.
2 yrs ago she moved to a junior school and there have been three incidents where the care plan was ignored, resulting in 2 teachers being disciplined, and staff being retrained after each incident. The school have accepted that that failed in their duty of care on 2 of the 3 occasions.
My question is at what point is it reasonable to say enough is enough and consider action against the school for Educational Negligence to force changes, or if others can suggest another route. My daughter has been made seriously ill by one of these incidents, but as it isn't life threatening immediately it seems to be ignored by the school.
