hmmmmm, my dd3 reacted to some egg white and sugar mix in baked alaska...

but everyone keeps telling me to give her eggs to see if its a real reaction.

'just a minute luv, we know your mum says you came out in hives with egg white, but let me just make you eat some'

what about if you separate an egg and put some yolk on one arm and white on the other and see what happens?
(I'm no expert by any stretch but that's what I would do first)

misdee stop panicking, DD2 had a contact allergic to egg at your dd3's age. She can now eat eggs, I never took them out her diet fully, and she now reacts to eggs once in a while, nothing priton can't sort out. Its in the family so don;t panic.

Has she had anything else with egg in?? Pancake/biscuit etc?? My ds skin tested pos to egg at 9 months before he had eaten any. He is now 2.9yrs and can have egg in cooked products but not scrambled egg iyswim.
