allergic to aptamil pepti

Hi all, web we only just got our 8month old diagnosed with cma.
Originally he was prescribed nutramigen but he wouldn't drink it due to the taste.
So we were moved onto aptamil pepti 2, he's been on this for about for four weeks now. His symptoms disappeared, he slept through the first three nights after starting the milk and became a happy baby.
However the last week he's been waking between 20-30 times a night, crying all day, crying through milk and solid feeds, has loose stools and lots of wind. He also has a rash on his face, neck, chest and back.
Is it possible he has developed an allergy to the aptamil pepti?
The paed said if the aptamil didn't work we should try neocate or nutramigen aa.
Has anyone had any experiences on these milks?
I'm quite new to this allergy malarkey and welcome any advice.
As a substitute to the milk, I've been offering soya based desserts. Should I also avoid soya?
Would it be reasonable to request allergy testing?

i would avoid soya for the time being as many people with cmpa also react to soya

neocate is entirely synthetic so would be the best bet I would think as unlikely to cause any reaction.

have you not been referred to the paediatric allergy specialist?? if not then request that, it should have been done when the allergy was diagnosed

By substituting milk I mean as a substitute to dairy products e.g yoghurts

My daughter is solely fed neonate , she is 5, this is due to multiple allergies.

Neonate is I think the most hypoallergenic milk .

Idiot55- how did you get the multiple allergies diagnosed.
Having two 'healthy' children already, this is all new to me

Hi, after two years of symptoms, they did biopsies of digestive tract and found cells called eosinophils , they flood to areas where allergic reaction, destrying cells as they go.

Its rare , butbworth keeping in mind

DS didn't get on with Aptamil Pepti at all, it gave him awful diarrhoea so we changed to Neocate and he's been fine.
