Has Persil non-bio changed?

DD1 had a massive outbreak of hives this week. We thought we knew the cause, wrapping herself in a blanket which was likely to have horse hair on it at a friend's, but the reaction hasn't settled down 5 days later and has appeared in new parts of DD's body. We've been to the doc, will go again next week, but I have noticed that Persil non-bio washing powder, which we've used all DD's life, has recently become scented.

Has anyone noticed this and/or experienced a reaction? If it is the Persil, it's not been an immediate reaction, but I wonder if a sensitivity could have built up.

Am about to drive for a couple of hours, will check in later.

That's interesting - I always use persil non-bio and haven't had any probs but recently I've been having awful eczema on my face and neck which itches like crazy at nighttime so maybe it's the laundry liquid affecting my pillows?

I think I might try another brand. I washed all her bedding after the horse blanket incident in case she'd brought some hair back with her and after the initial reaction, which seemed to match exactly where the blanket had been, she's had flare-ups on her face, hands, feet and chest as well as back, legs and arms. I wonder if she could have become sensitised by the initial reaction.

Very strange - she has slightly sensitive skin as a rule and has asthma, but this sort of major skin reaction is new. She's 15.

I can confirm that Persil have changed the formulation, and having used it for years, I have developed an allergic reaction to the new version

Very disappointed - DH is allergic to most sorts of washing liquid/powder, so going to have to try and find a new one without causing him to flare up now Sad / Angry
