check the rusks as some of them contain milk. They are also incredibly high in sugar and not an ideal first weaning food. What age is he?

p.s. yellow and soft sounds better than dark and hard

Dark and hard poo is off his prescription milk which is fine i just thorte with the sudden change maybe its the solids hes 4 month but a very big baby he went from 8 ounce bottles to 3/4 ounce sometimes not evan having a ounce for 2 weeks k asked the gp he said to try him on rice which he loves and took to straight away! He still doesnt sleep through but i think its because he is learning to roll and it wakes him up! I was only giving him it for breakfast but to be honest he does prefer rice with puree i have not give him rusks for two days now and spots have gone off his cheek they just the farley rusks thanks

I wouldnt give rusks to a 4 month old as they are full of sugar and also contain gluten that should be avoided before 6 months regardless of when weaning starts. I wouldnt really expect a 4 month old to be sleeping through either so that is normal.

He has previously slept through from six weeks old and just starting to wake up but i think he tryin to roll back to side position which i put him in he doesnt feed, his poos are back to normal (hard and dark) and spots have vanished so think might of been the rusks!
I would appreciate that miaowthecat my gp or hv havnt helped really i think i will phone to see if i could be referred to a dietician too i am sort of getting there on my own but would like to talk to someone im on forums to get advice really
