Cetrizine & behaviour changes?

Hi
Dd2 aged 4.10 has been prescribed cetrizine at 10ml per day as the doctors feel she has chronic urticaria & angiodema in addition to her allergies.

Her behaviour has really changed for the worse which can be linked to starting the medication - but can also be linked to the start of the school holidays...

A quick google shows other people reporting behavioural change linked to cetrizine.

Anyone else??

DS (3.7) has just had his dose of citrizine increased to 10ml a day (his as treatment for asthma) and in the past few days he has been a lot moodier. Bit to soon to say if it is linked in his case but its interesting that someone else is having the same issue.

He has to go back to see the consultant after 6 weeks because it is such a high dose for an under 6 so they want to monitor any side effects.

We have been told it is a high dose for her age- but that she may have to take double that again if it doesn't keep things under control!

My 2 year old bas been on 10mls twice a day since he was 12 months old which is a pretty huge dose for someone so little and we have no behavioural changes to report.

No, sorry he is on 10 mls a day. 5 mls twice a day which is still huge for a littl person, Im told.

Yes the 10ml daily is the dose for a 6 year old
