Could this be an allergic reaction?

I had a fish and chips takeaway about a year ago and suffered what I believed to be severe food poisoning - 48 hours of cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting, shivers.

This evening I have just had my first fish and chips since that incident and I am now doubled over with stomach cramps and diarrhoea.

Could it be coincidence or was my 'food poisoning' last time in fact some sort of reaction and it is happening again?

I didn't (and don't this time) have anything that I would associate with allergy such as swellings, hives etc.

Many thanks in advance.

I have some food intolerances that affect me similarly. Now you have to figure out what it is that affects you; fish, the batter (some batters contain egg), the chips or the cooking oil.
