We're off on holiday next week to France, DS2 is allergic to Milk, eggs, wheat and soya. We're driving so can take a lot of his safe food with us but just wondered if anyone had any tips/good finds/ things to watch out for.

I would love to know too; off for two weeks and 3 of us can't eat wheat/ dairy

Food packaging carries allergen labelling according to EU standards so you should be ok there. Also most big supermarkets (Carrefour, Géant, Auchan, Cora, etc.) will have a modest range of gluten free foods.

Do you know the French for all the things your DS can't eat?

DS is multiply allergic. We took loads of food with us when we went skiing to France, but even in a ski resort there was a range of gluten free and dairy free food in the supermarket. DS can have soya though, I didn't see any dairy free milk other than soya.

We were fine last summer with DDs allergies (dairy, egg, nuts).

This site is brilliant for travelling, have linked to the French/English translation

That's really useful thanks, we've been before and they seem to be quite good on gluten free stuff but not MEWS free and any non dairy is soya.
Have got sister in law who is fluent to write all the important bits down for me, I can manage the basics but a medical/dietary conversation is out of my comfort zone!
