This may seem trivial sorry. Dd was given an ice lolly today while at childcare and I have checked it online and it says may contain nuts.

She is allergic to nuts, milk and eggs - none of these where in the actual ingredients.

She seems fine, it was at least 2 hours ago that she had it - should I be worried now?

No! My son is allergic to many foods and the reaction usually starts whilst he is still eating. Is she anaphylatic when she eats nuts etc?

She has had 2 anaphylactic reactions- one to milk and one to an unknown - we think possibly cross contamination in something. Her last reaction was about 18 months ago. She is sitting eating her dinner happily - she is loaded with the cold and coughs occasionally which is heightening my anxiety Hmm we both have a cold and cough though.

Don't worry she sounds fine! Have you told the carer not to give her things that say may contain? We tend to give the may contain things because thats written on practically everything!

Yes she knows - she checked the individual wrapper but the warning must have been on the box Shock

I know lots of people choose to eat the "may contain" foods - we have chosen not to but is something we so need to speak to our consultant about in June, especially the may contain milk and egg products that are well cooked.

Thanks for responding I am such a worrier Hmm it's been at least 3 hours now and she is fine - shattered from a day in the sunshine but bright as a button when awake and she ate dinner too Grin
