Hello, I'm desperate for a bit of help.
My baby boy is 6 months old. He has been on Nutramigen 1 since the end of January as he has a cows milk allergy.
He is also a small baby - sitting on the 2nd centile.
He ABSOLUTELY HATES this milk. I mean really hates it and only takes the bare minimum. The paed said, at 5 months, he should be weaned. I started with the obvious pear/carrot etc. I tried baby rice but he wouldnt take it if it was made with Nutramigen.
A few weeks ago he got rota virus, was in hospital for 5 days and lost weight. He's under 2nd centile. Now the paed says he must have a full diet (excluding dairy obviously).
I want to know what milk i can cook with that isn't Nutramigen. Oat milk? i know almond is a no no because it is nut. Rice has arsenic... what can i use? Goat?
Presumably he will now have to go on Nutramigen 2 but i guess it tastes just as rank?
thanks so much for your help.
